Rorke-Adams, a trailblazing pediatric neuropathologist, is an international expert on pediatric brain tumors and shaken baby syndrome. In fact, she dedicated her remarkable, 58-year career in medicine to advancing science to improve the lives of children. Her work involved studying the diseases of the brain, spinal cord and nerves.

One of the first radio programs produced and aired on WGLS-FM is "Educational Forum", a show focused on keeping listeners updated on changes and events in education.

This show from May 3, 1965 included guest John Musoke, a visiting student from Uganda. Musoke answered questions from Glassboro State College professors Marius Livingston and Dr. Bergen Mixfall regarding the state of Uganda.

Livingston and Mixfall also covered Musoke’s cultural background and Uganda’s political affairs in the 1960s. Musoke visited the states while attending Salem County Vocational Technical School, which is located in Pilesgrove, NJ.

Rowan University broke ground on the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine on Friday, which included an announcement of a $30 million gift from South Jersey businessman Gerald B. Shreiber. Friday's special ceremony included speeches from Mr. Shreiber, Governor Phil Murphy, Rowan University President Dr. Ali Houshmand, provost Tony Lowman, New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney, Dean of the Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Matthew Edson, and more.

Guest Speaker: Activist, actor, and perfomer, Harry Belafonte. Mr. Belafonte spoke about his relationship with Dr. King and his role in the civil rights movement. Mr. Belafonte also spoke about his continuing struggle for equality and preserving the legacy of Dr. King's life and work.
